Background

A report on the findings and outcome of the previous community consultation held on October 16, 2013 on the proposed policy framework and regulatory approach set out in a Draft Modification to Official Plan Amendment No. 84 was considered by the Etobicoke Community Council at its meeting of January 15, 2014. The report also advised that the services of an environmental firm, Golder Associates, had been retained to peer review the proposed Draft Modifications and report on its findings.

A Planning report dated February 6, 2014 that provided a summary of the findings of the peer review process and recommended approval of a revised Draft modification to Official Plan Amendment No. 84 was considered by Etobicoke Community Council on February 25, 2014. At that meeting Community Council referred the matter back to planning staff. It directed that a further report be obtained from Golder Associates to comment and advise on any further revisions to the proposed policy framework and regulatory approach set out in the proposed Draft Modifications to Official Plan Amendment No. 84 and that Panning Staff consult with businesses and residents on any further report.
