Snow Clearing Updates – Mar 23 2016 – 3:00 pm

Forecast as of 3:00 pm:
A frontal boundary edging north-eastwards will spread light snow across this afternoon, transitioning to a rain/snow mix before returning to snow this evening, producing 3-6cm. late evening and into the night the snow will mix with ice pellets and then transition over to freezing rain after midnight, lasting into Thursday morning with ice accretions of 10-15mm possible - the higher amounts along and north of Hwy 401. Areas to the south will have freezing rain for the morning into the early afternoon with accretions of 4-8mm possible. A change back to rain will come for Thursday afternoon and evening before an eastward clearance Thursday night (and a brief change to flurries as it departs). Areas from the 401 northwards could see a little more freezing rain for Thursday night before the clearance with the risk of another 1-3mm
