The largest winter storm of the season is expected to affect the region today with light snow beginning mid-morning with a couple cm in the afternoon, but becoming heavy at times Tuesday evening and early overnight, tapering off early Wednesday morning. The bulk of the snow will fall in the evening and early overnights with rates averaging 2 cm per hour for 6 hours and 15-25 cm in total. Dry conditions are forecast Wednesday afternoon. Wind gusts of 60-70 km/h is likely Tuesday afternoon through the overnight.
