Snow Clearing Updates – Jan 11, 2016 – 8:00 am

Forecast as of 8:00 am:
On and off flurries will continue through the morning along with strong westerly winds gusting up to 60 km/h. A brief period of dry conditions are expected for the afternoon and the evening but the gusty westerly winds continue with gusts up to 60 km/h but will ease into the evening. A new system approaches with flurries developing over the region into the late evening with periods of light snow in the mid-overnight through to mid Tuesday afternoon before tapering back to flurries for the rest of the afternoon through the evening. Total snowfall of 5-10cm is expected at a rate of 0.5-1.0cm/hr. Also strong winds will redevelop into Tuesday afternoon through to Wednesday morning sustained at 25-35 km/h with gusts up to 60 km/h.
