Mandatory Downspout Disconnection Program Update

Toronto City Council approved a bylaw making it mandatory for property owners to disconnect their downspouts from the sewer system. The goal is to reduce the risk of basement flooding and decrease the release of polluted rainwater runoff into local waterways.

City of Toronto cautions residents about responding to misleading communications – Toronto Water does not conduct door-to-door sales

The City of Toronto is receiving complaints from residents who are being given notices such as flyers from independent contractors using door-to-door sales tactics. The notices are designed to appear as if they are City communications about programs and services associated with Toronto Water.

New Online Water Use Tool - My Water Toronto Online Tool

Today, the City of Toronto launched MyWaterToronto, an online tool that allows customers to view their water use information anytime, anywhere, from their computer or mobile device. MyWaterToronto will provide better customer service by making it easier for customers to understand their water use, identify potential leaks, and consider ways to save water and money.
