Update on City of Toronto homelessness services

With the end of the Extreme Cold Weather Alert this morning, we are confirming that staff are demobilizing warming services at Metro Hall by about noon. Regent Park remains open until further notice. The 11 people at Metro Hall Warming Centre as of 6:45 are being offered transportation assistance to other services.

City staff are continuously monitoring winter respite drop-in and warming centre usage to manage occupancy levels to ensure there is sufficient safe capacity to provide warm places for all who ask for them, which was the case last night.
