City of Toronto and melanoma foundations partner on pilot project to provide free sunscreen in select parks

The City of Toronto, the David Cornfield Melanoma Fund and the Douglas Wright Foundation have partnered on a public health pilot project to provide free sunscreen in select City parks.

Based on successful programs in U.S. parks, the Health Canada-approved sunscreen is available in dispensers, similar to hand sanitizer dispensers. Crews provided by the melanoma foundations will maintain and stock the dispensers through the trial. The two foundations are covering all costs, with the City providing locations and administrative support.
