The campaign strategy is to create both awareness and action – awareness of the possibility of basement flooding, followed by practical tips on what homeowners can do to help prevent basement flooding.

2018 Compost Giveaway & Environment Day

Once again, this year I will be hosting a number of FREE community compost days around the entire Ward.   For you convenience, click on any link at the right to see when compost will be in or close to your area.  A complete list of dates and locations can be found here

It's an excellent way to encourage composting, set a good example, and green the neighbourhood.  The compost is purchased by my office and provided for FREE to constituents of Ward 17.  The Community Environment Day will be May 19, 2018 at Loretto College School parking lot - 151 Rosemount Avenue from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Dufferin/St.Clair Library Children’s Programming in April & May, 2018

Dufferin/St.Clair Library Children's program opportunities at our library for school aged children:

Tuesdays 4-5 pm (In April, likely to continue in May)- After School Fun with Marble Works, K'Nex & Keva (No registration required)

**Saturdays 2-4 pm (May 5-26) Swallowing Clouds- Kids 9-12 work with professional artists to engage in dance, poetry and sound. Program concludes with a performance for parents on May 26.** (Registration required)

Announcing Neighbourhood Grants Program - May 4th deadline

The Neighbourhood Grant program aims to to activate neighbourhoods and advance the Toronto Strong Neighbourhood Strategy 2020 (TSNS 2020). Funding will be available for events that take place in the 31 Neighbourhood Improvement Areas (NIA) and the 8 Emerging Neighbourhoods between July 15 and December 31, 2018.
