Join us for a sneak peek of three of the spectacular new Line 1 Extension subway stations on Saturday, October 28 from 1 to 5 p.m.

• Highway 407 Station, 7332 Jane Street
• Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station, 3150 Highway 7 West

At the Open Houses, you can tour the stations, meet with the construction teams, architects and artists that designed and built the stations, chat with staff from PRESTO, York Region Transit, Brampton Transit and TTC about service changes, and visit with other partners including BAI Canada, City of Vaughan and others.

Every day many items are flushed down toilets or poured down drains that should not be. These items, such as fat, oil, grease, wipes and dental floss, can cause:
• Damage or blockages to home plumbing, which could lead to basement flooding
• Damage or blockages to the City's sewer pipes located under the streets, which could lead to basement flooding
• Damage to pumping stations and wastewater treatment plants
• Harm to the environment and aquatic habitat in the Lake, local streams and rivers

Construction to partially close Park Lawn Road and Lake Shore Boulevard West intersection this long weekend

The intersection of Park Lawn Road/Marine Parade Drive and Lake Shore Boulevard West in Toronto will be partially closed from Friday, October 6 at 10 a.m. to Tuesday, October 10 at 6 a.m. as the City replaces the TTC streetcar track.
Eastbound and westbound traffic on Lake Shore Boulevard West will be maintained in the curb lanes through the intersection. Southbound traffic on Park Lawn Road will be able to turn right onto westbound Lake Shore Boulevard West only. No left turns will be permitted to eastbound Lake Shore Boulevard West.
Northbound traffic on Marine Parade Drive will be able to turn right onto eastbound Lake Shore Boulevard West only. No left turns will be permitted to westbound Lake Shore Boulevard. Drivers will be able to access westbound Lake Shore Boulevard West using Silver Moon Drive.

Toronto Fire Services announces enhanced service delivery

Toronto Fire Services (TFS) is pleased to announce that all TFS fire trucks now carry Naloxone for use by trained firefighters for patients suffering from a suspected opioid overdose.

"The administration of Naloxone by trained TFS staff will enhance the level of service TFS provides to the public," said Fire Chief Matthew Pegg. "Acknowledging the urgent public health crisis across Canada and the marked increase in opioid-related emergencies in Ontario, TFS, in alignment with the current tiered response protocols, will enhance service delivery through the administration of Naloxone."
