Dear Friends,

I am honoured and humbled to have received such a resounding vote of confidence from you during our recent municipal election. This new term of City Council began with renewed energy and determination to do what is best for all hardworking taxpayers.

I am proud that I have been appointed to several important positions that will give our community a voice at the highest
decision-making levels, including: Chair of the City Licensing
& Standards Committee, a Member of the Executive Committee, a Member of the Toronto Transit Commission, a Member of the Toronto Public Library Board, among other local positions. These are very important responsibilities that will be challenging, but present a tremendous opportunity to improve the lives of Torontonians.

My top priority continues to be Ward 17 as well as being the most accessible and Ward-focused Councillor at City Hall. I will continue to fight for improved services, lower taxes and fees, transparency, accountability and fiscal responsibility.

I strongly believe that your input is important in getting a better understanding of what issues need to be tackled in our Community and across our City. I take great pride in building
consensus and working with residents of all political stripes to
get things done. This will never change. I am very optimistic and hopeful that by working together we will be able to restore public confidence at City Hall and revitalize our communities street by street, block by block, and neighbourhood by neighbourhood – together we can make Ward 17 Davenport an even better place to live, work and play.

I remain humbly at your service.
Sincerely,
Cesar Palacio

YARD WASTE
With the spring season and warmer weather upon us, many property owners will be cleaning up their properties and have an abundance of yard waste. This is a reminder to NOT burn the yard waste as it is a fire safety hazard. Please place your yard waste in Kraft Paper Bags or any rigid open top container with handles and place it out at curb side for pickup on the appropriate yard waste collection day.
